A gentler way to be in your body.

Feeling at odds with your body can be exhausting. Maybe you notice constant self-criticism in the mirror, tension around food, or pressure to look a certain way. Maybe you long for peace instead of perfection.

What is Body Image?

Body image is the way you experience, perceive, and feel about your own body. It’s not just about how you look, it’s about how you interpret and relate to your body internally.

It includes your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs about your size, shape, appearance, and abilities, as well as how you feel in your own skin.

You might be struggling with:

  • Harsh self-judgment about appearance

  • Obsessive thoughts about food, weight, or exercise

  • Shame or anxiety around your body

  • Feeling disconnected from your body’s signals

  • Pressure to “love” your body when it feels impossible

  • Comparing yourself to others or previous versions of your body

Body image is shaped by many factors: society, culture, family, past experiences, and personal beliefs.

Therapy can help you explore those influences, understand your patterns, and build a more compassionate, grounded relationship with your body.

  • We will take a look at what your relationship with your body has looked like in both the present and past. This first session is also a deeper dive into your intake questionnaire.

  • We set goals together that guide our work and evolve as you do. Throughout our time together, we clarify your intentions together so our work stays aligned with what matters most to you.

  • Most clients begin weekly to build momentum and safety, then naturally shift to biweekly or monthly as things soften. Frequency may increase or decrease depending on your needs.
